It's already March!?!
Time is flying! My prayer is that your February has been a time of blessing, growth and God continuing to show His faithfulness... not to mention snow. Snow at the end of February!
A quick thank you
for your continued prayer and financial support from all of us with OYAMA. Here
is an update on our February happenings.
February Recap:
- We covered topics such as the Biblical roles of a Pastor as well as the differences of preaching and teaching.
- We practiced our speaking skills through a couple different speaking exercises and practiced giving a teaching for the whole group.
- Our six 1st-year students began their church visits where they visit different churches, youth groups and children's churches every Wednesday and Sunday for the purposes of observing how ministry is done in different contexts and with different styles and methods.
- Our two 2nd-year students spent the month prepping for the ministry fair that is coming in March; this means they are discovering what their "non-negotiables" are in life and ministry.
- Our students served at Fusion Youth & Kids Pastors' conference where we are the main team that produces the event. Students learned and served in areas of lights, media, sound as well as in numerous physical roles. They did an amazing job! It was seriously one of the smoothest events I've ever been a part of. I cannot thank our team enough!
- This month I've been busy finishing the schedule for church visits, completing my US Missions class that I'm taking through the Assemblies of God, led our team in coordinating and serving at Fusion as well as continuing to teach and have one-on-one coaching meetings with our students.
As we look forward to March and beginning the home stretch of the year we ask that you lift up our students in prayer to finish the year strong. Our students are...
Alex, Amanda, Aiyanna, Bethany, Elijah, Grant, Kelly and Levi
Brittany and I both
are so thankful that God has allowed us to be a part of this ministry! I'm
overwhelmed by the honor to serve our Oregon churches and Pastors so thank you
for continuing to pray for Tom Bachman and I as well as the students. Thank you for
your support and allowing us to serve in this capacity!
