While June may be the slowest month in the program, many cool
and exciting things still took place. Here's the breakdown of everything from
June:
Ø Our student's Summer internships at Neighborhood Church in Albany
are going well with them participating and helping lead/develop many events as
well as service opportunities.
Ø Some exciting news: On June 18th, after taking part in interviews
with our OYAMA Board, we were glad to be able to offer invitation to incoming
students Alexis & Sarah to join the program beginning this Fall! Both young
ladies are obediently following a Call that God has given them to pursue Him
and become ministers of the Gospel to the next generation in Oregon!
Ø Another amazing blessing occurred in June. Second year student,
Elijah got married to his best friend Teela. Our entire OYAMA team attended the
wedding in Baker City, OR. What a great time to celebrate with Elijah and
welcome Teela to the team.
Ø While in Eastern Oregon, my wife and I had the chance to visit
Pendleton First Assembly of God. This is my home church and will always hold a
special place in my heart. It was great to see old friends and mentors who
helped me on this journey as well as to visit with Wes and Carrie Sheley who
recently stepped out of Youth Alive and are currently ministering in Pendleton.
Ø My work for Youth Alive in the month of June mainly consisted of
preparing our 2019-2020 Curriculum, scheduling lessons & speakers and
general prep for the new year. I CANNOT WAIT for the school year to begin
again!
Please take a moment and pray with us that the Lord will continue
to provide opportunities to share about what God is doing, not just in our
student's lives but around the state and in ours as well! Pray that He
continues to give us dreams and vision for God's Church and for the next
generation of ministers. Lastly, please pray for Brittany and I that God would
bring in the financial and prayer support that we need to continue to
